About Marley's Monsters
Based In Oregon, US, Marley’s Monster begun when Sarah as an expecting mother and someone who had a passion for creating, started making everything herself for her unborn baby, Marley. Wanting to help reduce unnecessary waste especially after Marley was born, Sarah started designing everyday products that were environmentally friendly and cost effective due to being reusable rather than disposable. This was soon becoming very popular amongst others too and so Marley’s Monsters was born, which now provides a range of alternatives to disposables that are eco-friendly and sustainable.
Marley’s Monsters design and produce high quality unique products that are designed to replace disposables with stylish material rather than plastic. They offer a range of everyday products made from cotton and linen such as bento lunch bags, cloth wipes, facial rounds and napkins, all with unique prints and styles that customers can mix and match. Their products really are wonderful, extremely well made and functional. Marley’s Monsters focus on making their products reusable and washable which helps saves so much waste, especially those with children.
I honestly admire this company so much, Marley’s Monsters have worked so hard to produce products that really do help reduce unnecessary waste. They have done so well in changing the way people see disposables, making it so much easier for others to make that change to environmentally friendly lifestyle.
Reusable vs Disposable
Baby wipes, paper towels, napkins and of course plastic bags are all disposable, most likely used once then thrown away. Not only does stocking up on these cost a lot of money, they use a lot of resources to keep making and once they have been used they end up in a landfill or worse the sea. How did we cope before plastic was invented? We used material that could be washed and reused! And not fabric with any synthetic fibres in, they were all made from natural materials such as wool, cotton, silk, linen and hemp.
Natural materials are biodegradable and sustainable, far healthier for us and the environment. They don’t pollute and they can be reused and washed rather than thrown away after one or a few uses. I love this, it’s like going back to a time before plastic, using healthier and eco-friendly means to carry out our daily life. Everything can be replaced with an earth friendly alternative which is why Peace With The Wild stock many products made from cotton and linen as well as other natural fibres! Using fabric over plastic is fun, way more attractive and stylish, becoming plastic free doesn’t mean you have to miss out, it makes room for creativity and innovation!
