Why Choose Natural
Synthetic materials such as polyester and nylon actually contain plastic fibres which are released when washed, such materials also take hundreds of years to break down in which the process releases harmful toxins and chemicals into the environment. Many sea turtles mistake plastic bags for jelly fish and try to eat them!
Plastic bags have also been found inside wales, birds and many other animals stomachs, causing them great pain and even death!
I know this is awful but we need to know these things in order to change and learn how we can make a positive difference. There are simple ways you can cut out using plastic bags all together by choosing bags made from natural cotton.
Cotton is 100% biodegradable and eco-friendly, bags made from cotton can be washed and reused meaning they are a far more sustainable alternative to plastic and synthetic materials. Cotton is also breathable which is why it is so great for storing and keeping food fresh without it getting sweaty.
About Dans Le Sac
Dans Le Sac was founded by two friends Laurie and Stephanie in Montreal, Canada. Making changes in their own lives supporting zero waste and sustainable living, these two friends often bought bread from their local bakery. Using a pillowcase to bring the bread home, Stephanie tried to find better options for storing and carrying bread but soon realised there wasn’t much available, so they decided to start making their own!
So was born Dans Le Sac, Stephanie and Laurie now focus solely on growing their business and making their sustainable eco-friendly products available to many who also want to make healthier better choices. By creating sustainable and reusable products Dans le sac want to help encourage others to reduce their consumption, waste and plastic for a possitive impact on both the environment and their health.
Dans Le Sac specialise in natural cotton bread bags that are especially designed for both carrying and storing the bread while keeping it fresh!
I adore their products as they are perfect for taking to markets and your local bakery, these are perfect for reducing the use of plastic bags while encouraging to buy fresh bread instead. Perfect for zero waste and plastic free living.
