About Wild Sage + Co
Wild Sage & Co came to life back in 2013 in the countryside of Herefordshire, where a passion to use natural ingredients for everyday use sparked a desire to provide products other people can use.
Julie, Rosanna and Georgia run the small family business using herbs and flowers from their cottage garden to blend into their soaps and skincare products. They believe skincare should be kept simple using natural ingredients from local sources, which I am a firm believer in!
When I think of Wild Sage & Co it fills me with memories of being in the garden with my mum and sister nurturing the plants we have worked hard to grow. One of the many reasons I love this company is because their values are something I strongly believe in and I can relate to how they work and live using their very own garden to create products they can be proud of.
All of the Wild Sage & Co products are made from 100% natural ingredients and their packaging is eco-friendly, not a single plastic bottle or tub in sight! Their packaging is made from glass and aluminium so not only is it healthier for you but the environment too.
How To Use
The first thing you need to do, is soak your shaving brush in warm water for 30 seconds. You can put it in a container of warm water (like a mug or) or fill your sink with warm water and soak the brush in that.
Soften the soap by puting a little warm water (say, a tablespoon’s worth) on the surface of the shaving soap and let it soak for 10 or 15 minutes.
Pour off the excess water. Lots of people will put the warm water on the soap just before entering the shower.
Squeeze the excess water out of your shaving brush. If you have too much water in the brush, it’ll make for thin, frothy, lather. Not enough water and it will be hard to develop lather at all.
How wet the brush should be will vary by what brush you’re using. Load the brush, you do this by gently swirling the brush around on the surface of the soap for a minute or two — until you notice a good creamy lather start to form. You alternate the swirl direction (between clockwise and counter-clockwise) every few moments to help work the lather into the brush’s bristles.
Paint your wet face with the lather using the shaving brush. You can use back-and-forth strokes, up-and-down strokes, swirly strokes, or a combination.
