Drinking Containers, water bottles:
I would say one of the worst things about plastic water bottles is that in England and many other 1st world countries, they are completely unnecessary! We are lucky enough to have easy access to clean water and yet each year in the UK alone 7.7 billion water bottles are used. Most of those plastic bottles will either end up in a landfill or the sea as 91% of all plastic is not even recycled!
The first thing in my plastic free journey was to never buy plastic bottles of any kind again, so I bought myself several eco-friendly water bottles either made from glass or stainless steel and would reuse and refill them from my tap. I always keep a bottle of water in the fridge and I always carry one with me wherever I go so I never need to even think about buying a plastic bottle.
Investing in a plastic free water bottle is one of the easiest and best ways you can reduce your plastic waste, besides water tastes so much better in a non leaching container! Speaking of which did you know plastic water bottles contain cancer causing hormone-like chemicals such as BPA which then leaks into your drink. Even BPA free bottles are not safe as there are many other toxic chemicals in plastic, which seeps into our bodies and ultimately ends up environment. The safest and most eco-friendly option is a sustainable plastic free bottle such as the ones I stock here at Peace With The Wild.

China, well known for their tea drinking culture and traditional loose leaf brews was where the idea of Qwetch begun. When Stephane, the founder of Qwetch, visited China he was inspired by their lifestyle of drinking loose leaf tea wherever they would be, whether it be at home, work or even commuting.
Stephane’s idea was to develop containers that would allow people to take home made tea, drinks and even food with them anywhere. It was key to create containers that were effective in keeping the contents such as tea warm or refreshments and water cold.
