Key Ingredients (full list in ingredients tab):
Silica (silica) – Serves as a cleaning agent and helps to remove soft plaque.
Microcellulose fibers (microcrystalline cellulose) polishes your teeth and in between, helping to prevent plaque and buildup of particles on the tooth and around the tooth.
Sodium bicarbonate , better known as ” sodium bicarbonate “, together with Ascorbic Acid or Citric Acid, adjusts the pH of the tablet.
We have the tablets available in either a reusable glass jar or plastic-free paper bags (refill).
The glass jar does have plastic in the top of the lid, however this jar is for reusing and storing your Denttabs.

How To Use
- Chew on a Denttab toothpaste tablet until it turns creamy.
You may have to get used to this at the beginning. It is worthwhile, however, because the mixing with saliva is crucial for the high remineralization.
- Brush your teeth with a wet toothbrush as usual.
Ideally, use a soft bristled toothbrush.
- Take a few minutes and then rinse, or spit out excess and don’t rinse.
Dentists do recommend not to rinse after brushing to allowing the fluoride to continue working but if you prefer to rinse then we recommend you leaving the toothpaste for a few moments to give it the time it needs.
Are Denttabs Suitable For Kids?
Although Denttabs should be okay for older children, I would always recommend just double checking with your dentist before use. As Denttabs do contain the equivalent amount of fluoride as 1g of adult liquid toothpaste, they may not be suitable for young children who haven’t used adult toothpaste before.
Why Is It Not Recommended To Use Electric Toothbrushes With Denttabs?
It is recommended to use a soft bristled toothbrush when using Denttabs, the manufacturer has stated that Denttabs work better with manual toothbrushes as electric brushes may not be as effective due to the shape, speed and hardness of the toothbrush head/bristles.
Denttabs toothpaste tablets consist of very few, especially selected ingredients:
Microcellulose fibers (microcrystalline cellulose) – Also known as refined wood pulp, a naturally occurring polymer that is fully biodegradable. This polishes your teeth and in between, helping to prevent plaque and buildup of particles on the tooth and around the tooth.
Sodium bicarbonate – Also known as ” bicarbonate of soda “, together with Ascorbic Acid or Citric Acid, adjusts the pH of the tablet.
Silica (silica) serves as a cleaning agent and helps to remove any soft plaque.
Amisoft (Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate) is a surfactant (soap) that combines the dissolved proteins and fats with water to flush them out while rinsing. In AMISOFT glutamic acid is esterified with coconut fatty acids. In this chemical process, two naturally occurring substances (coconut fatty acids and glutamic acid) are combined, losing their original properties. “Glutamate” should not be confused with the flavor enhancers used in the food industry – Denttabs are glutamate and gluten free.
And here again exactly from our chemist:
“Glutamic acid is an amino acid found in relatively large quantities in fish, meat and plants, but the amino acid does not occur in isolation, but almost exclusively in bound form in proteins DENTTABS does not use free glutamic acid, but a surfactant called sodium lauroyl gutamatate, which binds glutamic acid to a fatty acid, both derived from plant sources, which removes the physiological effects of the free acid DENTTABS tablet be swallowed, the glutamic acid would not be absorbed in the intestine but undigested excreted.”
Magnesium Stearate (Magnesium Stearate) is a herbal adjuvant used in tablet manufacturing.
Natural (mint) aroma , together with stevia and menthol, provide a pleasant feeling of freshness and a “cool” and fresh breath.
Menthol , together with stevia and the mint aroma, provides the pleasant “freshness afterwards”.
Xanthan gum is a natural thickener and gelling agent and provides the pleasant creaminess after chewing Denttabs Toothpaste tablets.
Stevia (Stevioside) is a sweet-tasting plant that, together with the aroma and the menthol, provides the good taste.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) or from March 2015 citric acid ( citric acid ) regulates the pH value together with sodium bicarbonate ( see above ) and stimulates the salivation. The increased salivation causes a faster remineralization of the tooth surfaces.
Eugenol is part of the natural mint flavor.
DENTTABS are free from preservatives, germ-inhibiting substances, binders and contain neither aluminum nor nanoparticles.
