Add a bit of paradise to your meals with our wooden sono forks from Ulu. These lovely forks are hand made from reclaimed dark sonokeling wood (rosewood) which have been sanded down and carved then engraved with the word “ahimsa”, which means compassion for all living things. Ahimsa is a major part of Ulu mantra. The forks are then finished with a layer of coconut oil to polish the spoon which makes it ready for dining. Perfect for salads, noodles and pasta!

Ulu coconut bowls are authentically up-cycled coconut shells that are usually discarded or burnt, significantly contributing to greenhouse gas emissions and unnecessary waste. Made by mother nature and with a little Ulu love, these beautiful bowls are the perfect alternative to harmful plastic containers. From your morning smoothie bowl to your evening curry, enjoy a touch of island paradise with your Ulu bowl.
When two backpackers headed to Uluwatu in Bali for a surf trip they immediately fell in love with the healthy and eco-friendly way of life they discovered there. After a few weeks of living the simple, sustainable way, they were taught by the locals to collect, hand-carve and sand the coconut shells into bowls. Engraved with the word ‘Ulu’ to pay homage to its origins, the pair decided to spread the spirit of sustainable living across the world.
Everything tastes better in an Ulu bowl, because with each spoonful you’re nourishing the earth as well as yourself.
I love working with Ulu because of their inspiring ethos and value that shape the company. Their coconut bowls are the perfect way to make use of something heading towards becoming waste! Not only is using the coconut shells a much more sustainable and eco-friendly method of eating, it is also a lot of fun and exotic using coconuts as bowls!
