Refill Compact Powder

Although Zao isn’t completely plastic free, their compact powders are refillable, making a much healthier, sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to purchasing an entirely new fully plastic product. These powder refills fit in your bamboo compact powder case.

All of these compact powders are talc-free vegan, organic and cruelty free with limited, if any plastic packaging.

This compact powder, as with all Zao products, is free from talc and parabens (synthetic preservatives), instead Zao use micronised silver as an effective and non-toxic preservative. Zao does not use nanoparticles in their products, with the micronised silver being larger than nanoparticle size, making Zao products safe and free from man made toxic chemical preservatives.

Shades

Shade 301 is invisible and suits fair complexions for whom added colour looks unnatural.

Shade 302 suits those with medium complexions and warm undertones.

Shade 303 suits those with medium complexions and neutral undertones.

Shade 304 suits those with medium complexions and cool/olive undertones.

Shade 305 suits those with darker complexions and cool undertones.

Packaging

The refills do come in plastic that is easily and fully recyclable but Zao are working towards replacing this plastic packaging with card/paper in the future.

The metal containers the powders are held in are 100% recyclable aluminium.

An essential item in your makeup kit, this pressed powder provides a shine-free complexion with its high capacity to absorb the oil on your skin, keeping it soft and velvety.

For a mattifying effect, apply the compact powder lightly with the powder brush.

To cover skin blemishes, apply the pressed powder with a sponge.

To perfect and give a smooth finish to your complexion after foundation, dust the pressed powder on the entire face.

Always choose a shade similar to your skin tone or one shade lighter when covering blemishes and mattifying. Use the product immediately after your day cream.

For a natural effect, use a powder brush; for a “baby doll” result, choose a sponge.

How To Refill

To refill the compact powder, there is a tiny hole on the back which you can use to pop out the compact and replace with a new refill or an entire new colour! The back of an earring or a sim card key could be used.
