Especially formulated to help strengthen the nails rather than damage them, Zao nail polish offers an excellent finish and long lasting colour without the use of toxic ingredients and compromising your health.
The Zao nail polish hardener is ideal for fortifying the nail, the Hardener 635 can be used for brittle nails that need to be reinforced. The Zao vegan nail hardener is ideally applied as an undercoat before the varnish.
To always propose you more eco-friendly and healthy products, the Hardener 635 formula has evolved. So, it now contains 80 % ingredients from natural origin. In this new formula Zao have changed the petrochemical solvents by Agro-solvents from corn, potatoes, manioc and wheat.
Naturally rich in organic silica, it makes the nails harder and more resistant.
The composition is free of 10 harmful ingredients: toluene*, formaldehyde*, dibutyl phthalate*, formaldehyde resin, paraben, xylene*, camphor, rosin*, styrene and benzophenone. Zao have removed 2 new harmful ingredients: styrene and benzophenone. *Ingredient that may be present as an unavoidable impurity, in trace shape.
The new formula is also vegan certified.
Packaging
The Zao nail polish comes packaged in a glass container with a bamboo lid, it does include a plastic applicator with a vegan synthetic brush.
Zao may not be 100% plastic-free, however they are a brand that is constantly changing their packaging to make it as sustainable as possible. We have already seen this with their powders and other makeup.
