A vegan and biodegradable alternative to your typical dental floss.

The floss itself is made from PLA, a 100% bio based-plastic, derived from plant based materials, in this case corn starch. This makes it 100% plant based, but it has been processed to PLA which can fully decompose to natural elements under the right conditions.

PLA; Poly(lactic acid) or polylactic acid or polylactide (PLA) is a biodegradable and bioactive thermoplastic aliphatic polyester derived from renewable starch-rich resources such as corn starch, wheat or sugarcane.

This floss is vegan, but not fully compostable in your backyard compost. 

You may not be able to compost this floss in your garden but is it biodegradable under certain temperature and enzymes, this happens mostly in an industrial compost where all products made from bioplastics are recycled.

Packaging

Bambaw dental floss is packaged in a reusable and recyclable stainless steel dispenser and then packaged in a recyclable card box.

Gently pull out about 30 centimetres of floss and roll the floss around your thumb to control the strength and position. Floss slowly between each tooth, reaching close to the gum line.

Flossing your teeth provides an even better clean than brushing alone and helps eliminate the formation of plaque.
