Halfway between a lipstick and a lip balm, Cocoon glides onto your lips, bringing an intense colour with comfort and care for lips. It's rich texture softens lips, enabling easy application. Enriched with organic pomegranate extract and organic shea butter, the formula soothes and repairs lips. Pomegranate is renowned for its antioxidant and anti-ageing properties.
Packaged in a unique, varnished bamboo case and attractively presented in a bamboo pouch with drawstring, ZAO makeup is both a beautiful gift and an item to treasure.
Key Ingredients:
Organic castor oil: Its specific fatty acid, ricinoleic acid, is renowned as a beauty treatment with amazing virtues. It relieves skin issues by its purifying, softening and healing action.
Organic shea butter: Shea butter is extracted from shea nuts, a tree growing only in the wild in West Africa's savannahs. Its fatty acid-rich composition gives it moisturising and nourishing properties.
Organic pomegranate extract: Concentrated in punicic acid, pomegranate has anti-inflammatory and soothing qualities; also rich in phytosterols, which have antioxidant and anti-radical properties, it helps fight against ageing, as well as the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.
Organic carnauba oil (Copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax): Secreted by the leaves of a Brazilian palm tree, the wax protects skin by producing a continuous film that increases the durability of makeup.
Jojoba oil (Hydrogenated jojoba oil): Calming and softening, this oil penetrates easily into the skin without trace of grease. It protects the lips against dehydration.
Although Zao isn’t completely plastic free, their balm lipsticks are refillable, making a much healthier, sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to purchasing an entirely new fully plastic product.
All of the Lipsticks are talc-free vegan, organic and cruelty free with limited, if any plastic packaging.
As with all Zao products, this is free from talc and parabens (synthetic preservatives), instead Zao use micronised silver as an effective and non-toxic preservative. Zao does not use nanoparticles in their products, with the micronised silver being larger than nanoparticle size, making Zao products safe and free from man made toxic chemical preservatives.

Packaging
The bamboo Lipstick case is refillable.
The refills do come in plastic that is easily and fully recyclable but Zao are working towards replacing this plastic packaging with card/paper in the future.
How To Use
This gorgeous balm lipstick meets the needs of those who want both a colourful smile and lip care. Apply directly on your lips.
To draw your mouth perfectly, start in the centre and move towards the outside, but spare the outer corner. Use a lip brush for more precision, draw the outline first and end with the heart of the lips.
Regular reapplication helps lips to regenerate and restore their fullness.

If you want to achieve a sophisticated and long-wearing makeup for your lips all day and night, follow these three steps:
- Use a brush and first apply the lipstick to the outline of your lips by making a thin line that accentuates the fullness of your lips and illuminates it.
- Finally, finish with your lipstick using a brush for perfection.
