Key Ingredients that are kind to the skin:

Organic castor oil (Ricinus communis (castor) seed oil): This oil is an emollient, softening skin. It is also moisturising via retention of water, facilitating smooth, plump and soft skin.

Organic carnauba wax (Copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax): Secreted by the leaves of a Brazilian palm tree, the wax protects skin by producing a continuous film that increases the durability of makeup.

Organic Cocoa Butter: Cocoa butter protects the skin from external aggressors. It helps to maintain hydration because it slows the loss of water by forming a barrier on the surface of the epidermis. It has been used for centuries in Africa as a preventative care to provide suppleness to the skin and also in curative care against dryness.

Packaging

The bamboo Lipstick case is refillable.

The refills do come in plastic that is easily and fully recyclable but Zao are working towards replacing this plastic packaging with card/paper in the future.

Apply the gloss by smoothing it on gently with the sponge applicator. Use over a lipstick in the centre of your lips to add a sparkling effect or directly on your lips for a subtle and natural look.
