Hedgehog mix seed tin by Seedball is great for creating a hedgehog friendly garden with wildflower mix of Yellow Rattle, Wild Carrot, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Tufted Vetch, Self Heal and Poppy.
Seedball hedgehog mix is collaboration with People's Trust For Endangered Species. The UK's hedgehog population is struggling, with numbers down to 50% since the turn of the century, but we can all do something to help by growing British wildflowers!
A wildflower patch is a super addition to creating a hedgehog friendly garden, not only in providing shelter but importantly to attract a whole range of tasty insects for hedgehogs to feed on.
Proceeds from the sale of Seedball hedgehog mix goes to support People's Trust For Endangered Species in their conservation work.
Each seed ball contains approximately 100 wildflower seeds that are responsibly sourced in the UK from Flora Locale accredited suppliers.
What's great about Seedballs is that the ball prevents the seeds from being eaten by birds and insects, thereby increasing the chances of your wildflowers growing. They are also super easy to use, so no digging or expert knowledge needed!
Seedballs are 100% plastic free, natural and eco-friendly - what's not to love?
Each tin of Hedgehog Mix Seedball contains 20 seed balls, enough to cover 1 metre square in the garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball). For best results scatter in Spring or Autumn.
All the seeds used in Seedballs are responsibly sourced in the UK from Flora Locale accredited suppliers, only ever use peat-free compost and their steel tins are manufactured in London (with the help of a solar farm on the factory roof)
Plastic free steel tin.
How To Use
How do I use Seedballs?
Throw onto soil or compost in a garden bed or planter in Spring or Autumn, leaving at least 10cm between each ball.
Your seedball has everything it needs to grow and, once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is right, your seeds will germinate.
What area will my Seedballs cover?
We would usually advise 20 seed balls per square metre, or 3-5 seed balls for a 35cm container.
Each tin contains 20 balls and around 100 wildflower seeds per ball.
Each seed ball is made from seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chili powder.
