If you have sensitive eyes, you will be pleased to know that our waterproof mascara washes off very easily with a cleansing oil.

Waterproof mascaras can dry out quicker than non-waterproof mascara, so we advise use within 4 months as opposed to 6 months.

Shea butter: Rich in vitamins and fatty acids, shea butter nourishes lashes intensely, protecting them from drying out and leaving them supple, soft and naturally glossy.

Glycerin: Glycerin deeply moisturises lashes by retaining water. It helps prevent lash breakage, improving flexibility and leaving lashes smoother and more comfortable every day.

Carnauba wax: Secreted by the leaves of a palm tree native to Brazil, this wax is a film-forming agent that protects your eyelashes by producing a continuous film that improves the staying power of your mascara.

Tocopherol: Tocopherol, or vitamin E, is a powerful antioxidant that protects eyelashes from external factors, strengthening lashes and contributing to their healthy and shiny appearance.

Packaging

Although not completely plastic free, this ZAO mascara is refillable, you keep the bamboo case and refill the plastic bottle inside.

The refill bottle is plastic but it is easily recyclable and much better than replacing the whole thing.

A wand is included with all refills due to hygiene regulations, but please note that a lot of wildlife charities will take old mascara wands as they are extremely useful for removing things such as fly eggs and larva from the fur and feathers of animals.

• Apply from the roots of the lashes to the tips using zigzag movements, either alone or after your Prim'Lash mascara primer.
• Apply generously to the roots of the lashes to add more volume. To avoid clumps or flakes, do not overload tips with the product.
• Waterproof mascaras dry faster than standard mascara, so you need to work quickly and finish one eye before moving on to the other.
• As this mascara is waterproof, it can be removed easily using ZAO cleansing oil or similar; it must be an oil-based product: oil, butter or two-phase. Then rinse with warm or hot water to remove any remaining oil.
