Georganics Eco-friendly Bamboo Toothbrush – Medium Bristles
This Georganics toothbrush is made with a 100% biodegradable bamboo handle and BPA free Nylon-6 bristles which are a medium strength. Bamboo being naturally anti-bacterial and non-slip makes an ideal toothbrush.
The amount of plastic toothbrushes being thrown away each day must be huge, knowing that they will still be here on the planet even after our lifetime is even more upsetting. Switching to the bamboo toothbrush is one of the easiest ways to reduce your plastic waste.
What Makes it so good:
- Biodegradable and compostable bamboo handle
- Packaging is plastic free, completely biodegradable and recyclable
- The bamboo used requires no pesticides or fertilizers
- BPA Free Nylon-6 bristles
Eco-friendly Bamboo Toothbrushes:
I would say a lot of people in the world brush their teeth, that’s a lot of toothbrushes! A lot of those are made from plastic, plastic that will eventually end up in either a landfill or our oceans. Then came the eco-friendly bamboo toothbrush! With a biodegradable handle and and BPA free bristles, it’s far healthier for us and the environment.
Now there is a lot of debate whether it is any better having a bamboo toothbrush because most have Nylon bristles. The thing is there is no perfect, completely biodegradable toothbrush available yet. There are various options and pig hair is one, however these of course aren’t vegan nor are they cruelty free plus they are apparently not too good on the anti-bacterial front. At the moment there aren’t any other natural bristle options, non that are reliably sourced. So I have opted for what is best in my opinion and that’s bamboo toothbrushes with Nylon BPA free bristles.
The thing is the less plastic the better and although not perfect it’s still a step forward. If it’s just the head that isn’t biodegradable then that’s still a lot less plastic in the world! We just have to make sure we snap off the head when we dispose of the brush.
** Please note even though the handle is completely biodegradable the BPA free Nylon bristles are not ** Snap off the head then dispose separately
Although your bamboo toothbrush may need replacing dental wise, they make perfect cleaning accessories, so before throwing away I would recommend keeping it to clean all those nooks and crannies in the kitchen and bathroom!
Once it really does need throwing away make sure you snap off the head and throw it away in your waste bin as the Nylon bristles are not compostable.
The bamboo handle can go in your compost bin to biodegrade.

What I really admire about Georganics is their core values, they believe that nature offers everything we could possibly need in life, that includes ingredients to clean our teeth with! I completely agree, why do we need all these horrible unhealthy chemicals and toxins such as fluoride to clean our teeth with? The Answer is we don’t!
Georganics was built on the idea that 100% natural, sustainable ingredients CAN be used for oral hygiene. This company began when Alessandro Rocci, the founder, realised that it was a struggle to find true natural toothpaste, so he began making it himself. This soon became very popular thus leading to the amazing company Georganics! They now offer a range of all natural oral hygiene products with no plastic packaging!
Although Georganics was founded in London they now reside in the west Sussex countryside where they source their ingredients and packaging materials locally to minimise their impact on the environment. They are dedicated to environmental sustainability which is why all their packaging is completely plastic free, biodegradable or recyclable.
How To Use
How to use an eco-friendly bamboo toothbrush:
Scoop a pea-sized amount of natural toothpaste onto the bamboo toothbrush, then brush at a 45 degree angle in short, half tooth strokes from the gum line down.
Begin from outside part of the teeth moving to the inside.
Move onto chewing surfaces, hold flat then brush back and forth.
After using, store your bamboo toothbrush upright in a cup or wrack to allow to dry out.
