As you probably know, coconut oil is great for pretty much everything. It is soothing, moisturising, healing, calming, and even has antibacterial properties, therefore making it a super ingredient in soap. Oh and it smells great too! Honey is also very good for dry skin and it heals any underlying skin problems such as eczema or dry patches.
Natural clays such as Australian red clay are great for drawing out excess oils from the skin and removing any signs of impurities. Sweet orange oil is also good at lifting oil and grease from the skin, leaving it clear and soft. In fact, any soap containing citrus essential oils like lemon, lime, grapefruit, or lemongrass will be effective in the fight against the slick.
Sensitive skin often needs extra TLC so you need a soap that will be gentle whilst still getting the job done. Coconut oil is great for this, so are ingredients like rose oil, lavender oil, and rosehip- all of which have anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.
Acne prone skin
If your skin is prone to acne then you should look for soaps that contain witch hazel. A natural astringent as well as having anti-inflammatory properties, it balances the oils in the skin which helps to prevent blackheads and breakouts. Another effective ingredient to consider is tea tree which is fresh and invigorating whilst killing bacteria that could lead to unsightly pimples.
Baby skin needs extra special care due to it being very sensitive. Look for soaps that contain ingredients like chamomile that are gentle and soothing for both mind and body.
