How to use an all natural, vegan primer
Natural, eco friendly, cruelty free, vegan primers are not just great for skin, but they look great and make your vegan makeup last longer.
Vegan primer is an essential in any vegan makeup routine and one of our favourite vegan primers is the Zao Sublim’Soft Vegan Primer, which mattifies and smooths the complexion for long lasting vegan makeup and it can even be used on its own in order to perfect your skins natural complexion, leaving it feeling soft and strokable.

Important Natural & Vegan Ingredients
Free of any nasty chemicals and plastics, the Zao vegan primer relies instead on 100% natural, organic, cruelty free, vegan and bio ingredients to create a smooth finish.
Organic bamboo leaves hydrosol: Made by distilling bamboo leaves, this is great for mattifying oily skin. It is known for its natural moisturising and soothing properties and is great for sensitive skin that is prone to dryness. It also contains silica that makes your skin feel soft, smooth and velvety.
Natural bamboo stem powder: Extracted from the nodes of the bamboo plant, this powder is high in silica content and helps to moisturise, regenerate and remineralise the skin whilst mattifying any areas prone to oil.
Organic bamboo rhizome macerate: Again, made from the bamboo plant, this natural, vegan ingredient is super rich in organic silica and helps your skin retain its natural elasticity and youthful glow.
Olive squalane: An extract of olive oil, squalene is a natural component that is also found in human sebum. It is very similar to lipids already found on the skin and its emolliency make it great as an natural ingredient in vegan primer. It keeps the skin’s lipid barrier strong, softens, and helps to protect it from dehydration.
Eco-Friendly Packaging
Sublim’Soft Vegan Primer comes packaged in a eco glass bottle with a sustainable bamboo lid. Currently the pump IS made of plastic but it is reusable and ZAO are working towards reducing their usage of plastic by using more sustainable, plastic free components.
HOW TO USE VEGAN PRIMER
Pump a small amount of the vegan primer into your hand and apply it with the fingers, evenly onto the skin. Move in circular motions from the centre to the outside of the face and neck.
Beauty tip: The Sublim’Soft can be used on its own or under natural foundation and eco concealer, depending on the look you are going for. You can use it to extend the life of your natural, vegan makeup but you can also use it instead of a natural mattifying powder. Just apply the vegan primer before natural foundation to achieve a matt look without having to use other products on top.
You can also use over natural foundation: just pump some vegan primer onto your fingers and gently apply to areas that are prone to shine such as your nose, cheeks and forehead, being sure to blend in with your fingertips.
If you are someone that suffers with an oily t-zone, then this vegan primer is perfect for you. It is also great if you want to hide open pores or even fine facial hairs that can be accentuated by the use of natural finishing powders.
