Chewsy was founded with a mission to clean up an industry that many don't realize is filled with hidden plastics. Most conventional chewing gums use a synthetic "gum base" made of plastics and oil-based waxes—the same materials used to make tires and glue! Chewsy founder Sunitt started the brand after discovering that these hidden ingredients, along with artificial sweeteners and preservatives, were the source of his recurring headaches. Determined to find a better way, he created the UK's first and only plant-based, plastic-free gum that is as good for your body as it is for the planet.

Unlike mainstream brands, Chewsy uses chicle, a sustainable tree sap, as its natural gum base. This makes their gum 100% biodegradable and compostable, ensuring it won't linger on our streets or in our oceans for centuries. At Peace With The Wild, we stock the full Chewsy range, which is entirely sugar-free (sweetened with tooth-friendly xylitol), vegan, and free from artificial flavorings.
