Founded by Teun, a Dutch journalist, Tony's Chocolonely was born in 2005 as a Fairtrade and 100% slave free chocolate bar! 5,000 Tony's Chocolonely bars were made but they ended up selling 13,000 after a successful launch. Paving the way for chocolate producers Tony's Chocolonely became Fairtrade certified and the Chocolonely Foundation was founded in 2008. Tony's Chocolonely pride themselves on producing chocolate that is ethical and sustainable!
